This was another good wine-tasting here at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 Tl: 202-363-4265 sales@clevelandparkwine.com www.clevelandparkwine.com Also on Facebook at : cleveland park wine & spirits and now on Twitter at : cpwinespirits ) when I was able to taste the six wines of HENRY LAGARDE, Mendoza, Argentina which included : 1) Altas Cumbres Viognier dry white, 2) Altas Cumbres Malbec 3) Altas Cumbres Cabernet Sauvignon, 4) HENRY LAGARDE 2008 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, 5) HENRY LAGARDE Malbec 2008 Reserve and the 6) HENRY LAGARDE Malbec Single Vineyard 2007 ( bottle # 06343 ). They were all excellent and Chris Barker and I have since brought to the store the three less-expensive Altas Combres line and they have all three sold well and we are out now of all three and need to reorder again.
WE had the young lady above come to the store at the same time looking for Hungarian wines. Her name is Manon and she has been to the store on several occasions and I asked her to taste along with us so that I could also get her opinion and strengthen the bond between the store and her, showing her a bit of what we do and hopefully giving her an experience to remember and look back on.
Because of her name it made me think of the famous French movie " Manon Of The Spring " and so of course I mentioned this and we spoke about it for awhile as we tasted and discussed many other things as well.
Being an artist I like to take many artsy photos and I have included some here. I will add to this blog as time permits but will post it now " as-is " and hope that you enjoy it and that it makes you want to go in search of these excellent HENRY LAGARDE wines from Mendoza, Argentina. Cheers, TONY
