I never did see this movie based on the famous books but I did like meeting this charming lady above that spoke about it and the book and everything with such ease, passion and conviction. Bravo and thanks for sharing. She's outside the famous Uptown movie theater across the street from us on the opening night of the movie.

Karen in the red above with her sister Robin in the white are favorites of ours at the store. How are you both now on this cold night of Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 at just midnight ( 12:12AM ) here in northern Virginia as I type this like mad to get it finally posted for you all. It's a fun " fluff piece " filled with I hope you all will say " soul and heart and warmth and good cheer ".

Paolo above the owner of the Italian Ciro wines - the red ones made from the Gagliopo indigenous red grape variety. Love them all - especially the Riserva Duca San Felice of LIBRANDI ( pictured above in a picture with other bottles that Jody Jackamn poured one weekend evening for our Cleveland Park customers ) bottle dry red that is almost burgundian in style. Paolo just had a baby.
Our wonderful flowers sold on the weekends for us all to look at and buy at the end of our block and there by DINO ristorante and what was once SABORES. Lovely!
Wine-maker dinner with Mathias then of the COUSINO-MACUL Chilean wines downstairs at the ARDEO restaurant down the street from us with John Peters and then Blake the chef. What great wines, great meal and great times!
Bobby Kacher the very fine French American importer above ( second from the left ) with three of his excellent wine-makers after the annual wine-tasting when they could all finally relax and take a big load-off and sigh a big relief, too. I loved it then speaking French with them all. Lovely, personal, up close and what I love best : real. Thanks Bobby, merci au vignerons Francais et magnifiques!
Pietro the owner of SORRISO Ristorante lloks on as the filming with Nicole Kidman finishes up just outside his restaurant three or four years ago was it?
Robert Whale Aussie importer extraordinaire at our store at one of the wine-tastings with Ramona in red and two other lovely ladies that are both also good customers of ours - the one in pink a school teacher.
Manuel Rojas who's family ( with his brother ) owns ALMA Di CHILE, DOS PASOS and IN SITU Chilean wines treats me lunch at SORRISO a few years ago. Gracias Manuel! He acted as a young man in two Anthony Quinn movies!!!!
