In Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits Daughter Sierra Wright Of Owner Lonnie Wright Of THE PINES Vineyard in Dundee, Oregon Visits Us In 2010 : Cheers!

Pictured above is the daughter Sierra Wright ( Sales, Events & Marketing, graduate of the Linfield College - what an incredible smile ) of the owner of THE PINES 1852 Vineyard that makes the excellent Pinot Gris 2008 ( $21.99 that was used recently at a " good bye " celebration of the founder and inspiration of the Studio Theater - at one of her many " farwell " dinners - they loved the wine I am told - all good news ) in Oregon's Columbia Gorge and bottled in Dundee ( www.thepinesvineyard.com, 541-993-8301 - label designed by Doreen Wynja. The daughter of Lonnie Wright that has been growing grapes in the area for twenty-five years.

It was great to meet and finally taste a range of these wines with Tony of the Nice Legs Imports that mainly sells to the restaurants. He was nice enough to bring us these wines and the owner even though he is not our sales rep for Nice Legs : Dimitri is.

The wines showed beautifully and we always have the Pinot Gris in stock and have sold it quite well and tasted it at our Bog-Theme Oregon Wine-Tasting that we organized last year at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 Tel: 202-363-4265 anthony.quinn@clevelandparkwine.com also on Facebook at : cleveland park wines & spirits as we as now on Twitter at : cpwinespirits ) from 5:30-8:30PM. We had a great turn-out, sold lots of wine and I think everyone learned quite a bit about the wines of Oregon on this evening in the store in Washington D.C.'s wonderful Cleveland Park neighborhood of the Northwest.
Al the owner of Nice Legs was nice enough to come and pour the wines himself from his company as well as this THE PINES Pinot Gris. Thanks Al.
I will include more soon here but I want to get this out now and add to it a bit later as it is already Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 at 11:25AM on another drop-dead gorgeous morning here in northern Virginia at home.

I loved hearing the history of the winery and the vines and the founders of this winery. It all really intrigued and fascinated me. I especially loved the story about the Zinfandel red and I simply must get some soon. I will speak to Dimitri about this and get it ASAP for June, 2011.

Stay-tuned for more shortly. I have many more pictures to download here and I have to find my notes on the other wines as well. TONY
