It was a discovery and a ' favorite ' of founder Raoul Beamont that he brought back from Portugal to South Africa, being the first, discovering that the grape was not there yet even though the Portuguese did travel around the Cape in the early days of travel when the world was being discovered! Cheers! JOIN US, NEVER any charge, everyone always welcome. Theresa will also sign and sell copies of her book CAPE WINELANDS that is amazing, $20 , and all the proceeds go to breast cancer research and Finding The Cure! Pay that directly to Thersa when you get a book! Anthony ( TONY ) Quinn 1/11/14
