Jean Trimbach of the Trimbach winery in Alsace, France's Ribeauville region tasted us on all his brother and his " new " releases. Jean promotes the wines while his brother stays home and makes the wines. It was marvelous to try them : Rieslings, Pinot gris and Gewurztraminers. We will taste some of them here in the store next Saturday from 2-6 PM with Emilio Velez, June 14th, 2008. For my earlier bog on Jean go to the MAY blogs and check it out. Our customers Penelope and Michael were lucky enough to be here when Jean and rep Eric Platt came through. You see their reflections through one of the white wines. My new style is to take both wine makers/owners' pictures through the large Riedel, Austrian glasses with some of their wines at the bottom of the glasses to associate them together - wine and owner / wine maker. That's the key connection so it only makes sense to take their pictures together. Enjoy
