I WROTE what follows here a few minutes ago and posted it on our Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits Facebook page in our Cleveland Park neighborhood of Northwest, Washington D.C. 20008 , Saturday July 13th, 2013 ... ENJOY ... we had Chris Bartha of ULTRAwein Imports pouring his portfolio of Frederic Corriher'e ROUTE DES VINS French country selections ... It was a great tasting getting ready for tomorrow's Bastille Day and I saw some of our favorite customers dining at Lavandou as I walked home at 8PM and that pleased me enormously : vive la France! TONY 7/13/13 I also saw Lee as I walked to my car and told him to go ask Michel to pour him a glass of the FABulous 2007 CHATEAU MONT-THABOR southern Rhone red! Sold some French wines, the " Le Perle " to our old customers that moved to Austria 8 years ago but that still return and buy when they are here : Friedl and Laurie and Luca! Linda bought some of Les TROIS Amis and her favorite 3-liter box wine of Le Petit Frog Languedoc dry white Picpoul de Pinet, $27.99 a box, sold some CHATEAU Du VALCOLMBE white, $13.99 a bottle to Andrea that loves it, MANY customres bought the Les TROIS Amis Chardonnay and 2010 Syrah Pays D'Oc wines On Special for $9.99, Malcolm bought the CHATEAU MONT-THABOR Cotes-Du-Rhone 2009 dry red, $14.99. It was fun, it was exciting : ALWAYS reminding people that it was the 14 Juillet tomorrow. A lady bought sic bottles of a dry French Rhone-style rose, $8.99 to enjoy along with a Sancerre producer's Loire Valley dry Pinot Noir rose, $10.99 to enjoy tomorrow : a case in all with Maurice's Cevennes dry Merlot-based rose for $9.99, some Tourraine Sauvignon Blanc, $10.99 : another flipped when she saw we had back in stock the Sancerre rose 2012 Lauverjat 100% Pinot Noir rose On Special for $22.99 - she bought deux bouteilles de ca pour celebrer le 14 du Juillet demain ... with a bi, broad smile as she passed me carrying the two Sancerre rose bottles - ... and on an on all day long! WHAT MARVELOUS FUN! Cheers everyone, I am drinking some of the SIMONNET-FEVRE Bourgogne dry rose Cremant de Bourgogne brut, $19.99 : and I have a bottle of the biodynamic FLEURIE Champagne Non-Vintage Brut to enjoy with my wife and family tomorrow, On Special for $41.99 a bottle : and more, too, of course : WOW!
