Anthony Quinn's Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits' Store Email Written Today, Tuesday, Dec. 17th, 2013 & Combined With a 2-Year Old December 2011 Store Email : Enjoy - Happy Holidays 2013!

THEN THERE WAS NICKIE that came in visiting her friend that lives here with her
this visit as well as the last three weeks ago when Nickie asked me : " Do you
have any of the dry red Schiava Alto Adige Auslese Italian wine from KALTERN? "
Actually what really happened was that Kickie showed me the picture of the label
on her phone and I saw it and said : " No, we are out. " This was, of course not
what Nickie wanted to hear again today.

So I sold her some of the  2012 DAL MASO Del Veneto dry red , $11.99, 13%
alcohol by volume to try, telling her the difference between the tow. Nickie
needed another bottle so we decided on the 2012 MARQUES DE ZENETE Valencia
Spanish Tempranillo, On Special for $8.99, 13.5% alcohol by volume. Then I got
our local rep Andrew on the phone, ordered the wine, put Nickie on the phone to
tell him the story and say : " I want your job " after I told her Andrew had
been in Oregon buying " new " wines to sell.

BEFORE THAT TOM came by to buy lottery tickets ( as the number is HIGH! really
high now ). Tom needed some for gifts and some for himself. What fun, everyone
wants to win! Cannot Blame anyone, I will have to play, too.

BEFORE TOM I WAS HELPING Caroline Baculund ( spelling ? ) that's 93 years , went
first to buy a vacuum-cleaner down the street, passed our store with her friend,
needed two " smooth " reds for $12 approximately to enjoy while she read, said
she enjoyed the combination. I found her two reds. I found out that Caroline was
the librarian at the National Gallery of Art for twenty-five years : all so
impressive! She also has a bottle of the DAL MASO Cabernet Veneto red, $11.99 to
try and see what she thinks? I asked her as she walked away from the store down
the street : " You still read books and not from a Kindle? " That's when she
said : " Of course. " and told me what she did for a living. Impressive!

AFTER THAT CAROL approached me and said : " The man that knows so much ", thanks
Carol. I appreciate that. We spoke and I helped you Carol and you said you
wanted to buy a lottery ticket so you could buy our store and put the other
store down the street out of business because they never treated you well or
made you feel appreciated, you always felt like they were talking down at you.
Thanks Carol for all the complements - we appreciate them all. And I have not
included the name of the store here even though you have clearly said it more
than once. We are not about talking down or bad about our competition, but we do
like and appreciate complements. Happy holidays to you and your family!

are successful and you all return for more he continues with them.

IT'S PRETTY MUCH THE SAME with us : shelf space here is limited and
valuable and so both Ravi as well as Mike and I change things around often to
give the " new " items " a chance to be seen and purchased by you. If he does
not have something you want he can order it as long as some company has it for
us to buy. The same is true with us. This goes for the expanding range of LIQUOR
as well as LIQUEURS. ASK US, don't be shy. It's hard to see everything
immediately here and often we have to put it someplace that we know where to
find it when you ask as we do not have enough space to adequately display

2) VERSINTHE Liqueur Absinthe Superior ( On Special for $42.99 ,45% alc. by
volume, ) is from France's Provence region and is A STEAL at this price. We just
have bottles left.
3) CHAIRMAN'S RESERVE , Finest St. Lucia rum ( On Special for $24.99 for a
liter bottle, has got as great golden color and a rich, complex middle and a
nice slight bite in the finish which mellows into a very satisfying home run.
4) LANDY Cognac V.S.O.P. from France is On Special for $36.99 and is gaining
a following even now as I type this. Nice gift box, too.

NEW 2009 :  A Red & White CARTE VIEJA 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon and
Sauvignon Blanc ( $7.49 ) from Loncomilla Valley , Chile. As fresh as wine gets!
Impressive, balanced, lively, bright : both wines.

TERRA ELIMA : Nero D'Avola from Cicily, $15.49 : this 2007 is showing
really well with great floral and spice ans earth balance all held together with
a nice silky fruit component of sweet, dried plums? I like it : medium-bodied
and a nice wine to enjoy with just about anything now. Try some while you wrap
presents or fix your meal.

like a glove and drinks like a dream! I just tasted some a few minutes ago, It
is back again and I am very happy to have it. It's made by a Frenchman now
