It sure is a treat to revisit California wineries like ARROWOOD that have continued to provide some really fine wine for us here in the U.S. as well as any other places around the world importing it. Or, more likely having Americans that love it pack it in their suitcases and carried to the far reaches of the world to share a piece of California with friends and new acquaintances ... nice ... so right ...
It was nice to meet Eileen McLemore ( Director of Marketting for Arrowood, Box 1240 14347 Sonoma Hwy, Glen Ellen, CA. www.arrowoodvineyards.com eileen.mclemore@arrowoodwinery.com ) and to taste some of her new releases.
As you can see here I took some more artsy photos being both an artist and wine lover and also a wine educator. I like seeing the actual wine outside of the bottle in a wine glass with the person or the bottle as a back-drop. It's all part of the picture / part of the moment.
On this visit with Chris our Monument Fine Wines rep we tasted the Arrowood wines as well as those from FREEMARK ABBEY ( Napa, Chard and Cabernet Sauvignon ) , BYRON ( Santa Maria Valley, CA. tasted the Pinot Noir Santa Maria 2007 and the Santa Maria Valley 2006 Chardonnay ) and the TENUTA Di ARCENO Prima Voce 2004 85% Merlot/15% Cabernet Sauvignon, $16.49 ( we have that currently here at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits, 3423 Conn. Ave. N.W. Washington D.C. 20008, sales@clevelandparkwine.com www.clevelandparkwine.com Tel : 202-363-4265 ). It was a fun tasting and I will do blogs on these others.
I still have more to write and include here but for the time-being enjoy these photos and the stories that they tell all by themselves. Cheers and thanks Chris and Eileen. Come again anytime ...
