The headline should finish : " Premiers Cotes du Blaye ( not Bordeaux, Oops! ) ... that's what happens when I type quickly. Glad I caught it early ...
The two wines, the HEY MAMBO CA. ( the Sultry Red, it's right on the bottle , at the bottom of the label ), $14.99 red that is like the kitchen-sink of delicious, smooth, velvet, spit and wonderful polish on an affordable CA. red ( a fun blend of I think five or so more grapes : Petit Sirah, Syrah, Barbera, Alicante Bouschet, Malbec, Zinfandel ) , and the 2005 CHATEAU MONDESIR Premiers Cotes du Blaye red Bordeaux ( open already one day ) - BOTH were really fun and exciting and worth our carrying here in the store. We will have them either this month or next.
It's Wednesday afternoon , late here at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 Tel. 202-363-4265 sales@clevelandparkwine.com www.clevelandparkwine.com ) on March 11th, 2009. It's the day we see our salespeople/reps and taste " new " wines for Cleveland Park. These are fun and it was great to discover them both.
I will write more about each as soon as they arrive. Marcie Weinstein works for Constantine Imports Imports and will be here this Friday March 14th, 2009 ( 3-7 PM ) to taste a selection of wines which might include this MAMBO.
Lisa Giufre works for Elite Imports and will be here the following Saturday March 21st, 2009 from 3-7 PM and she will probably pour this CHATEAU MONDESIR Premiers Cotes du Blaye ( $16.49 ).
Here are some fun pictures I took of both Lisa and Marcie that have become really good friends. We had done our business and here we are having some fun as you can see. Work then some fun, that's okay : these both really do a great job selling Mike Martin and me ( Tony ) .
Cheers, TONY
