The wines showed beautifully yesterday as did the 2007 reds when we tasted and bought those. It was nice to catch up with you again and talk lots of " shop ", and lots of " vineyard ", and to hear about how expensive it has become to farm organically. We talked of hawks and lady bugs and all other manner of natural farming, about John Arns and the tractor, about the owls and how they love it there. We talked of Lucie Morton and you asked me : " What's she up to these days? " You spoke of her and one of her friends that she talks to all the time at UC Davis is it? I should have asked you whether she has visited you at ARNS Estate? I bet she has?

I have to add my notes that I took on the sales sheet on ARNS ESTATE wines that I left at the store. I am at home now. I always piece these stories together these days so as to at least get something out for everyone to read and look at the pictures. My life seems to be like this : a bit of a collage that I work on constantly and try valiantly to keep up with!
I did enjoy this visit Sandi and I did greatly enjoy the wines, the ease and joy with which we tasted and conversed, and the beautiful things that I just read this morning that you wrote about me here below when I asked you to write something that we could share with our Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits customers. Thanks for that. Thanks for the wine, thanks for the friendship. Come again anytime, do a wine-tasting here anytime. It's a whole lot of effort on both our parts but well-worth them as the dividends are so high on so many levels, some obvious and others impossible to calculate or know until they are made obvious to us. If you ever have a group here for a tasting we can gather them together and do our own " theme " tasting as we have now done for years. Cheers and thanks again. I am glad to say that today the blue skies are here and the sunshine, too : and that should make your visits here even nicer.

We have Sandi Belchair of ARNS Estate Winery in Napa Valley , California, 94574, here tasting her fabulous 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon that's ready for purchase at Kysela Pere et Fils et Fille ( along with Jeremy Sutton ). It's already showing beautifully. We also have a surprise " barrel sample " of the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon to taste. Both have been tasted out of their ARNS decanter a few minutes ago.
