This was a great Elite portfolio wine-tasting with four producers, owners , wine-makers from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Loire Valley. We had Joel and his wife Sandrine here as well as Jean-Remy from Champagne, Christian Lauverjat from his own property LAUVERJAT in Sancerre and Bernard Bouvier of RENE BOUVIER ( viticulteurs a Gevrey-Chambertin , Brugundy ).
They were all here and we had a blast and did some great business. Our rep Lisa Giufre was here, too and together we really pulled off a great tasting and event here with all generations and groups and people relaxing, tasting , smiling , buying and learning. It was quite the revelation!
In the photo above Sandrin Duffau takes a picture of her husband Joel and our then Elite rep Lisa Giufre. Owner Laurent Givry was just in the store yesterday, Thursday, January 20th, 2011 in the morning and we were going over wines and events for the beginning of this year. He told me that Joel Duffau will be back here in the beginning of March 2011 and so we will work on doing an in-store Bordeaux wine-tasting of all of his wines. we pretty much sell them here all the time and more are coming here in a week's time.
We always sell both the CHATEAU LES ARROMANS dry red Bordeaux ( $11.99 ) and the fancier " Prestige " bottling for $18. We also almost always carry the dry white CHATEAU LES ARROMANS Entre-Deux-Mers 2009 ( $10.99 ). The CHATEAU LA MOTHE DU BARRY 2008 100% Merlot ( $2.49 ) has also been a favorite of mine and of our customers.
