Cendrine Et Joel Duffau Of CH. LA MOTHE DU BARRY " French Kiss " Dry Rose 100% Merlot Tasting 4/24/2010 & Yesterday " Bastille Day "

Yesterday, July 14th, 2010 - Wednesday - all day we tasted at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 Tel:202-363-4265 sales@clevelandparkwine.com www.clevelandparkwine.com ) the 2009 CHATEAU LA MOTHE DU BARRY 100% dry Merlot rose ( $12.49 ) to celebrate France's day of Independence " Bastille Day". It sold really well as it is so fresh and bright and appealing with lovely smooth overtones of strawberries and other fruit. No edge, no tartness, no burn : simply soft and velvety and very agreeable. What's not to like : it's excellent with or without food. It's not heavy or cloying and tastes nice even with the heat and the humidity now here in Washington D.C.

We tasted this same wine back on Saturday 4/24/2010 here in Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits with both Cendrine and Joe Duffau the owners of CHATEAU LA MOTHE DU BARRY as well as of CHATEAU LES ARROMANS : both Bordeaux properties. It was great to have them here in our store tasting their wines for three hours. We sure did sell a whole lot of their wines then.

These pictures that I have downloaded so far are mostly of Cendrine as she tasted the wines with our customers and described their flavors to them. She speaks a whole lot with her arms and I like that. Here I have captured some of that in a close period of time that is probably no more than a minute or two in time. I will download pictures of Joel tomorrow as well.

In the meantime Happy Bastille Day to one and to all one day late. I am sorry to get this out so late but it has been busy at the store. Enjoy these pictures her and stay-tuned for more really soon.

Vive la belle France et a bientot. Merci encore Joel et Cendrine. Nous avons passe une belle moment ensemble au magasin de Cleveland Park Wines Et Spirits ou on vends bien vos vins toujours ...

You go girl ...

Cendrine is quite passionate, really. There's so much expression in her face and with her body and hands. I like it and am glad that I have these pictures to remind me of that. She lives and breathes these wines of hers and Joel's as she should.
