Franceen Kahng of Vias Imports came by today and we tasted together the fine BISOL Crede 2012 DOCG, Veneto ( a blend of 85% Glara and 10% Pinot Blanco and 5% Verdiso, we will buy the last two cases of the half bottles and sell them On Special for $13.99, from $17.99 a bottle - that were ordered originally for Palena restaurant where I one evening with family and friends enjoyed two bottles of the 750ml bottle thanks to Kelli's help - glorious! what a great memory that was !! ) Valdobbiadene Prosecco and the Desiderio Jeio Brut DOC Prosecco NV, Veneto, $18.99. I liked the Desiderio better for this hot weather as it is lighter and crisper than the Crede. We will buy it soon, after we enjoy selling the half-bottles of Crede. Franceen also introduced us to three new Piemonte Utalian products from SIBONA : 1) the elegant and refined, touch-sweeter Amaro with less bite, more velvet flavors, and ... 2) Liquore alle Camomilla that was really unique, fun, tasty, bright, fresh, engaging, a complete delight, ... and the .... 3) Grappa Reserva that is aged in Tennessee Bourbon Barrels and also quite tasty and special : all three will be on our shelves soon enough and Franceen will be able to taste them with our customres as well. After she left the owner Pietro of Sorriso Ristorante came by and I was able to taste him on the Camomilla he liked. ALL THRRE are available in liter bottles and represent great values for what they are.
