A great visit today to the Big Cork Vineyards in Maryland today April Fool’s Day April 1st, 2021 at noon with owner Dave Collins, general manager Matt Riley and Nicole Boyer that poured our wines as we tasted through them and both Dave and Matt checked in on us after we had the tour of the winery, what a splendid treat, we loved the wines, such brightness, finesse, like youthful liquid expressions, so fine, so silky, liquid fine divine! A treat, thank you Dave, Matt, Nicole and Andrew Stover from Siema Wine imports that set it up for us a week ago! Happy to sell the wines, love the Russian Kiss still! These are my many pictures and photos I took earlier with my artist’s eyes, I also quickly sketched Dave twicem Matt once, my gifts to them! Cheers, Stayin’. alive through Covid 19 still!

Loved our trip to the Big Cork Vineyards tiday, April 1st, 2021, meeting with owner/ winemaker Dave Collins, general manager Matt Riley, and Nicole Boyer that poured the wines for us, and Andrew Stover of Siema Wine imports that set it up for ys today, what a glorious day with my wife, my daughter and her friend! Here are my puctures and videos I took with my artist)s eyes as well as my quick portrait sketches of Dave and Matt, a wonderful experience with food, cheeses, cured meats, smoked salmon, fresh baquettes made there, yum all! a complete experience. Tried ten or so wines, liked each and every one if them, all winners in their own right. They are so youthful, so hopeful, so delightfully fresh and bright! loved still the Russian Kiss using unnamed grapes duscovered in Maryland that Dave knce blended with Myscat ( now he makes a dry Muscat by itself ). We ladt enjoyed the Russian Kiss at Wolf Trap in their parking lot last summer 2020 watching the movie Dirty Dancing - we loved it, still do, we sell it at Cleveland Park Wine and Spirits at 3423 Connecticut Avenue NW Washington DC, 20008, 202-363-4265. Will now buy and sell two others, pribably the dry Myscat and the new vintage 2020 Meritage red, maybe more, will rotate them depending in the season. loved the barrel sample of the 2020 Sydah, tasty even now! Dave is also working soon with Tempranillo, and Vermentino, we tasted today ( not the Nebbiolo, Barbera, they are sold out for tge vintage ) Chardonnay, Viognier, a dry rose of Malbec, and a Washington State Club Member only Meritage ( the only wine i did not like, too heavy and rough for me after the fine finesse silki ess of the others, all usingtheirown Maryland grown grapes - sometimes using some Maryland grapes they did not grow.).
Insaw the new vintage of the Merlot in boxes, did not sample that.
When i first met Dave years ago I tasted the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay and the Merlot which i bought and sold. i did not buy the Merlotb2912 that I told Dave i did not like.
thanks again! have bottles here at home we purchased to enjoy here during my vacation and Spring Break for teachers and students! heers, Anthony TONY Quiin, Thursday, April 1st, 2021
