Tony The Wine/Artist Guy Continues TO WAX-POETIC ABOUT ALE, BEER, CIDER, WATER 'N WINE ( Vigna Rocca 2009 Albana Seco Of TRE MONTI, SALTON, Embassy Of Brasil, AURORA CELLARS, Da'Divas Chardonnay Of LIDIO CARRARO , World Cup Soccer, LEBLON Cachaca & More ) July 8th, 2014 @ Cleveland Park Wine & Spirits : Cheers, Enjoy!

Cleveland Park Wine Cleveland Park Beer, Liquor & Wine
Featuring a wide, international selection of fine wines, micro-brews and spirits

WE START FRESH EVERY TIME we do anything HERE!

LIKE NOW ...

WE have Robert here now from his own import company talking about the TRE MONTI
wines ...

IT'S THE 2009 ' Vigna Rocca ' Alabana SEcco that he bought a bottle of in April
, 2014 and this is what he has to say about it : " The 2009 is drinking
marvelously and has acquired a really interesting minerality over the last few
years of bottle aging. There are only 4 bottles left here at Cleveland Park,
actually 3 because Tony is saving one for me.  The 2013 Vigna Rocca will be in
around mid-August and will certainly be a treat, but with a few years of bottle
aging it will hopefully get to the level that the 2009 is right now.  Vittoria
Navacchia of Tre Monti has also purchased an Anphorae from Georgia last year and
is concocting an Albana that will certainly be interesting to say the least.
Hope he actually bottles it and we can get it on the market.  Otherwise, we
will  have to do what Anthony Bourdain did and pay the Navacchia's a visit in
Emilia Romagna!!

I WANT MORE OF OUR LOCAL REPS to share some of their insights into their
products, using their own words :
Shannon from Craft Wine & Spirits  , my humble opinion from the bottom of the
bottle :)
The Black Bull :  is true Scotch whiskey without compromise ( available 12y 40y
and the Kyole )
A marriage of honey, dried fruit ,heather and smoke at CASK STRENGTH ! Impress
friends and family with a Dram or whisper of Scotland's finest, Enjoy your
whiskey neat or try something refreshing for the season .. A Ginger lowflyer (
muddled lime , 1.5oz of Black Bull topped with ginger beer )  " In winter to
warm you , In Summer to refresh you and all year to reward you! Slainte"

" Washburn Wine Company is now proudly distributing EL BUHO Mezcal to Cleveland
Park liquors, using only 100% Espadin Agave from Oaxaca Mexico. Using a 5th
generation copper potstill. Mezcal is a very exciting and exploding category
within the spirits. Due to its balanced smokiness (mesquite and banana leaf), it
has great applications in mixed cocktails (ie. Moscow Mules, Salty Dog, w/ Giner
beer and lime) or simply on its own. Pick one up and let the El Buho owl fly. "
Rolf was nice enough to write this just now for me as I worked on two meals :
one a more casual one with fried chicken and deviled eggs, green salad ... and
one with feta and watercress salad, halibut and sea beans that are crunchy like
green beans, a tangy sauce with lemongrass, risotto ... fun working on this
order and besides, this is a business where we all swim together so we can all
stay afloat and not sink. I am delighted that these local reps included some
comments here for you all. I will do this more often as I feel it is interesting
and helpful, too. Cheers.

COME TODAY to taste the SALTON Harmoniza wines of Serra Gaucha, Brazil here with

real treat to expose so many of you to the fine wines of Brazil, even to many
Brazilians that still do not realize that, in fact they are making fine wines
there!

SAVE HERE, TASTE HERE before your celebrations.

WE ARE OPEN on the 4th of July until 4 PM so if you do need last-minute things
please come by and get whatever you are out of or did not have time to get

stop by and get what you need or give us a call at : 202-363-4265 and we will
come by and deliver it for you : a $30 minimum for a delivery.

LAST WEEK we had so many things going on here as we got organized for July and
wrapped up June. All good, always thinking of how we can do our jobs better and
be more in contact with what you really want and at prices that you can afford
by helping you to stretch your dollars.

We have decided to do a J. LOHR Winery, California 2-Part wine-tasting here :
TOMORROW, Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 from 6-8PM with our local rep Ashleigh
Sabold as she was free, local and willing to do this wine-tasting of American
wines from California, a perfect fit for this occasion. WE will taste  a
selection from the dry exotic and floral Chardonnay, to the fruity, off-dry
Riesling : to the fruity and fresh indigenous red made with the Valdiguie grape
variety that is much like a Gamay Beaujolais just thicker and more fruity , to
the elegant and refined Pinot Noir, to the fleshy and firm " sleeper " of J.
LOHR, their Syrah, to the elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, and the heartier, more
angular and food-oriented Merlot. In summary : all the wines display balance and
good value, too.

WE HAVE ALSO DECIDED  to do a closer-to-home, more-local beer tasting with MAGIC
HAT out of Vermont. Renee used to come and she did an excellent job. Remember
her with her hat and glasses and always pins and buttons on them? Now we have a
" new " young man coming to pour and add his personality to the mix here at
Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits! This way we represent both the East Coast as
well as the West Coast. It's hard to plan a local wine-tasting here as everyone
is rushed for the 4th of July and many are traveling and many of the local
wineries have big events at their vineyards.

WE WILL HAVE TO try and do a tasting soon from the middle somewhere of our
country to include a broader range of our magnificent country. There are
wonderful products and people coming from each and every of our 50 states!

YESTERDAY WAS CANADA DAY - HAPPY CANADA DAY one-day late! ( I did cover this on
our Facebook page at : Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits : WE HAVE many great

YESTERDAY MY WIFE & I treated ourselves to the new French movie called " Renoir
" that we both loved in French with English subtitles. It was spectacular on so
many levels, and we do highly recommend it. On the visual and the sound level :
two of our senses bather in this wonderful artistic period-piece in France's
countryside. You should all see it if you love art and France, it's food and
wine and other alcohols, too : as they are all covered here beautifully. The
sweep in one of the moments of the kitchen table with all the food on it : all
the fresh produce, the magnificent colors, the rabbit or the hare, ... see it in
preparation after our 4th in anticipation of France's Bastille Day on le 14
Juillet, 2013!
