More Fun 2010-11 : Tom Calder Of His Own TC Selections From France Comes To Cleveland Park Wines June, 2011 : Malvosie Loire Valley Sweet White

This is Olivia tasting some of Tom Calder's selections when he visited the store last year in 2010 with Susan our local Potomac Selections rep. It was the late afternoon/ early evening and they had a selection of excellent French country wines with them at the time and as I tried them around helping customers like Olivia I invited them to taste along with me. Seemed like the only sensible thing to do and we bounced around from Burgundy to the Loire valley to the southwest of France. I will have to look at my notes later and add some more info about those wines, some of which like the Bagatelle Saumur 100% Loire Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has become a permanent fixture at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 Tel:202-363-4265 sales@clevelandparkwine.com anthony.quinn@clevelandparkwine.com www.clevelandparkwine.com also now on Facebook at : Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits and on Twitter at : cpwinespirits ).

The Bagatelle Saumur rouge just got reviewed very positively by Dave McIntyre of the Washington Post newspaper. That was exciting to read last Wednesday. It's now Tuesday, June 14th, 2011 here at home in northern Virginia and I have to dash off to work to start my work week selling more fun and interesting wines like this Bagatelle dry red and peppery and earthy and yet fruit-driven and forward 100% Loire Valley Cabernet Franc. I love the Cabernet Francs from the Loie Valley. Mai oui, je les adore! TONY

Thanks Tom and Susan, hope to see you both soon. Cheers ...
