Winemaker Arco Laarman Of GLEN CARLOU, Paarl, South Africa, Here Monday, May Fourth With Holly Kapica Of Hess Selections 5:30-7 PM

Winemaker Arco Laarman of GLEN CARLOU tasted two wines : the 2004, ON SALE $19.99, Grand Classique dry red blend GLEN CARLOU ( 45% Cabernet Sauvignon/ 35% Merlot / 10% Malbec / 7% Petit Verdot / 3% Cabernet Franc and the Chardonnay 2006 Chardonnay, $16.49 from Paarl, South Africa on Monday night here at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 sales@clevelandparkwine.com www.clevelandparkwine.com ) on May 4th, 2009. Arco was here with Holly Kopica ( of HESS Selections/Imports ) from 5:30-7 PM.It was my night off and so Mike Martin was here holding down the fort.

Mike said that Arco was very personable , that he was reminded of owner/winemaker Leo Hillinger from Austria when talking with Arco. He said it was quite busy and that he along with Holly and Arco were all busy pouring the wtwo wines for our customers here in Cleveland Park.

We still have the wines and are happy to have them here. Come and get a bottle and check them out yourselves.

I love the traditional style of the Grand Classique 2004. It reminds me of great old-style dusty-dry, earthy, spicy, peppery, dry red that is always best with food.

Arco, you have to come back so that I may meet you. I'm sorry that I missed you. Thanks Arco and Holly. Cheers, TONY
