Tasting yesterday, Wednesday, April 26th, 2017 with Jean Gagliolo and Elise Faur  our national sales manager ( go to : www.tricyclewine.com for more info ), too from both Obsidian Ridge in the Mayacamas Mountains, and the Poseidon Vineyard in California's Napa Valley from the Tricycle Wine Partners Group, the 1) Poseidon Vineyard Chardonnay Estate 2014 : opulent, lush, ripe, unctuous, round, soft, full, voluptuous, lovely , a treat - not overdone, still in focus, bright, and in balance!
2) Poseidon Vineyard Carneros Pinot Noir Estate Grown, 2013 : again bright, fleshy, focused, in balance, fruit-forward with some acids and spices to keep it interesting on our palates, .... and the Obsidian Ridge Red Hills Lake County Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 : a tasty, more backbone, a bit more earthy and gruff and tasty, liked it, always have, cheers to all three!

Notice the block of Hungarian oak under the glass used to make these elegant wine expressions - fruit-forward, fleshy, balanced!  And also notice to the right in the photo the obsidian stone - a piece - which the grapes and their roots must grow. Fun, real, amazing, true!

We have the Obsidian Ridge now at Cleveland Park Wine and Spirits, 3423 Conn Ave. NW, Washington DC, 20008, 202-363-4265, will order the Poseidon Vineyard wines for May.   Anthony ( TONY ) Quinn  4/27/2017
