IT'S HARD

TO THINK

OF EVERYTHING

that I want

that you want

that we want together

" Come Together " sings  The Beatles ( Jesse Colin Young sang another great
song : " Darkness Darkness " ) so many glorious moons ago that I still
smile at when I hear  Paul, John, George, Ringo and Jesse's voices singing
...

HAVE YOU ALL been listening to the singing on " The Voice? " I Look forward
to listening again tonight as I think that many of the singers, sadly most
are young with few older contestants,... and they mostly all sing so really
well and now they are having ' sing-offs ' between two contestants on each
team and it is pretty nerve-wracking as well as exciting. I feel like I am
balancing often on pins and needles.

I drank some of the CHATEAU DES LEOTINS Bordeaux red / rouge 2012, On
Special for $9.99 a bottle, 12% alcohol by volume,  as I listened. It is
showing quite well and with some appetizers I think it is perfect as there
is just the slightest kick and edge and burn/tang to it that could be
fleshed-out with a bite of something solid, your choice.

HAVE YOU READ the book : " Hunting Truffles?" I am enjoying reading it now
as it is about Piemonte, Liguria and Tuscany, Italy , all places that I
love and it is very well-written and has been a pleasure to read this
weekend. I am still not finished. It is written by a local wine-writer Dick
Rosano that was here a couple of week's ago signing his book during our
wine-tasting of fine Piemontese wines including the ... 1) ' Truffle Hunter
' Leda 2013  Barbera D'Asti, $16.99 a bottle, 13% alcohol  by volume, from
BOSIO Winery, we had Luca Boscio that is the winemaker and he is one of the
family members, too. What a fine experience that was!

AS I READ the book : " Hunting Truffles " I enjoyed the Nebbiolo D'Alba
2012 Piemontese dry red from VEGLIO, $12.99 a bottle. I was drinking it on
the third day that it was open and it was simply marvelous two night's ago,
on Sunday night. What a treat, a real fine treat!

DAN OUR CUSTOMER bought the bottle on my recommendation and also loved it
on the third day that it was open. That is to say that all the flavors
opened and rounded-out and fleshed-out as I like to say. That is when you
taste all of the wine it it's full elegance and brightness and clarity. SO
: enjoy it with a meal the first two days but save some for a glass or two
on the third day and be amazed! I liked this VEGLIO 2012 Nebbiolo D'Alba
with my steak that I grilled on Sunday night as well, it stood its ground
and was a delight, even with the thick steak cooked medium-rare.

WINE By Chris and Tony :

1) BV Coastal Estates  Chardonnay California 2013, $8.99 a 750ml

enjoyed it very much. I thought that I was getting more flavor here than
the price indicated.

2) BV Coastal Estates Zinfandel California Grown 2012, $8.99 a bottle,
from BEAULIEU Vineyards since 1900, good forward, rich flavors that I again
thought I was getting more for than the bottle costs here. Good wines,
balanced, good values, so dependable and nice with or without a meal.

Sparkling Wine From Brazil :

1) Intenso SALTON Espumante / sparkling wine is a dry soft

of last week during the really bad weather!

Other Wines :

1) ' Le Terre ' di POPPIANO Chianti from Conte Ferdinando
GUICCIARDINI, Tuscany, $11.99, a 13.5% alcohol by volume : light, bright,
silky, a touch of zip and slap-zap, a nice touch on the palate, easy to
drink with or without a meal. I like it. Count Ferdinando himself came to
taste it here with our customers. Now that is personal service. He makes
the wines, his wife makes their FABulous extra-virgin olive oils. Good
combination.

2) Cabernet Franc 2012 ( great vintage ) of the SALTON ' Intenso '
