SORRY THAT I TEASE SOMETIMES, It's To Get Your Undivided Attention!

IT'S HARD TODAY for us all, but there's always joy and there's always hope and
we as a group here in Cleveland Park seem to be pulling and keeping things
together pretty well.

IN SOME WAYS I have come to think that very possibly now we here in Cleveland
Park may be struggling with the effects of the recession that no one talks about
anymore, often glossing over the bad and the hard and only focusing on the
positive and the good. I think being mindful of both is essential so very often
these days my emails that I send are filled with both, as I want to be true to
the situation we find ourselves in here at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits , here
in our neighborhood ... and all around us as we are constantly bombarded by
social media and the news that never stops.

THE WEEKEND HERE WAS busy considering that the weather on Saturday was pretty
glorious, really quite special. Sunday was also quite nice. You just never know
the pendulum will swing these days and so we advance with some breezy, sometimes
sunny, sometimes wet and damp and soggy, sometimes cold weather. We just never
quite know and yet it does feel like spring here. I like that. do you?

AND BOTH PASSOVER and EASTER are coming soon. We have had lots of
kosher-for-Passover wine and beer sales over the past couple of weeks. The
interesting thing here is that we sell kosher wines here all year long. We have
just bought some more sparkling wines like some

1) Prosecco Extra Dry Mevushal  vintage-dated 2013 ' Notte Italiana ',
$17.99, 11% alcohol by volume in a blue bottle, that is pretty smooth and easy
to sip and enjoy thoroughly all by itself. ...   and the ...

2) Brut Vin Mousseux LES CAVES DE LANDIRAS French sparkling wine, $16.99,
11% alcohol by volume that we have sold here for several years now.

WE ALSO HAVE some ' new goodies ' like :

1) Cabernet Sauvignon TERRA VEGA Reserva 2011 Chilean dry red from their
Colchagua Valley ( On Special for $12.99 a bottle, 13% ) : it's
medium-to-light-bodied, some earthy, dusty-dry, spicy and really nice to enjoy
with a meal! I liked it when I tried it the other day with our local rep. It's
for people that like and understand wine, and realize that some wine like this
was made to complement a meal.
WE ALSO HAVE all the regular flavors of the TERRA VEGA wines for $8.99 :
Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carmenere, Merlot and Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc
that we sell here daily, have for a year or more now.

2) Merot 2011 from GABRIEL in the Judean Hills, a dry red Israeli wine,
21.99, 13.4% alcohol, that I also tried recently and it's smooth, elegant and
bright and so fine. Easy to drink and to enjoy, I liked it very much.

3) Chardonnay 2012 from GABRIEL , also from Israel's Judean Hills ( $21.99
a bottle, 13.4% alcohol by volume, go to : www.arfiwinery.com for more info ) :
I liked the body and the weight, the balance and the flavors here as well. It's
balanced and tasty and a real treat to enjoy anytime.
4) Chateau Le Vieux Chantre 2010 from Puisseguin Saint-Emilion ( $22.99 a
bottle, 14.5% alcohol by volume ) " a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon,
some Cabernet Franc, some Malbec and Petit Verdot - from a great vintage for
Bordeaux wines - what a wine, what a deal, what a great food wine! Cheers!
5) Chateau de Bonfils 2011 Bordeaux, $15.99, Mevushal , 12.5% alcohol by
volume, ) : great everyday value for a tasty, flavorful food dry red Bordeaux
that you can enjoy with your meal this Passover.
6) Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon from the ELLA VALLEY , this 2010 (
$33.99 a bottle, 15% alcohol by volume from Israel and the Judean Hills, ) : an
old-world style dry red made to be enjoyed with a meal, spicy, earthy, pithy and
perky, ornery  paid it's dues already and knows it : a blend of 85% Cabernet
Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Syrah. A treat. Worth it, too.
7) Chateau Bois-Redon 2010 - great vintage for Bordeaux wines - Medoc Left
Bank wine ( $29.99 , 13.5% alcohol by volume, produced by Chateau le Bourdieu )
L more beefy, meaty, more robust and complex and intense as there's more
Cabernet Sauvignon in this classic Medoc Bordeaux wine. Definitely to be enjoyed
with your Passover meal.
