Reconnecting Yesterday Wednesday Afternoon @ Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits In Cleveland Park Northwest Washington D.C., 20008, With The CVNE Vina Real & The ADADIA RETUERTA Spanish Reds : Classics Both, Balanced, Flavorful, Distinct Personalities Of Their Origins : Bravo!

It was a treat when Richard Lay that took these pictures for me at my request brought us these two excellent Spanish reds : VINA REAL and ABADIA RETUERTA that I have neither seen or tasted in years but which we have sold , off-and-on at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits now for years to great success. The two wines were at the opposite side of the spectrum - the VINA REAL being quite lyrical and elegant, lighter, brighter, more like a Pinot Noir with a splash of Grenache added - medium-to-light-bodied, a toasty elegance and a brighter red color whereas the ABADIA RETUERTA was a deeper, denser dark red color, medium-bodied, a bit grittier, earthier, more in need of a meal to really appreciate. We will talk to Richard more about both and make a decision. Cheers, thanks Richard. Anthony ( TONY ) Quinn   We tasted these yesterday afternoon, Wednesday January 29th, 2014.

Thanks Richard, this was a real treat to rediscover just how excellent these two " classic " Spanish reds are from CVNE Vineyards and ABADIA RETUERTA. Cheers, gracias a todos ...  TONY 1/30/14
