Seeing & Speaking With Malcolm Riddle Today Of The AMERICAN RIDDLE Facebook Page About The Hungarian Wines Of Nimrod Kovaks & His KOVAKS NIMROD Winery In Eger, Hungary : 2 Reds Bull's Blood - Of Indigenous Red Grape Varieties : Kekfrankos & Kadarka, 1 Batonage Chardonnay, 1 Dry Indigenous Furmint White

Malcolm Riddle was just here and we were going over the four Hungarian wines that we will be getting here really soon from Nimrod Kovacs and his son Hunter Kovaks that were both here tasting their wines. Lots of interest in them, " Bull's Blood " dry reds from the Eger region of Hungary. They are blends of the Kekfrankos indigenous grape, also including mixes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc ... and oh, the " other " indigenous grape called Kadarka. We will have them in the first week of September. I will write more soon. Stay-tuned for the " Rhapsody Cuvee " 2007, and the EGRI " Bull's Blood " 2007 : both with 13.3% alcohol by volume, There's also a dry excellent Furmint indigenous grape white, and a " Batonnage " dry white Chardonnay. Go to :www.ckovacsnimrodwinery.com for more info. Happy Birthday to you this Saturday Hunter. Cheers, Anthony ( TONY ) Quinn PS : Listen at AMERICAN RIDDLE to Malcolm Riddle's podcast that will be available on Monday, Malcolm will talk with Tony Guida tomorrow night.
