SATURDAY, August 24th, 2013 ( 2-6PM ) : We have owner Larry Mawby here of the L. MAWBY winery in Suttons Bay, MI here himself to taste and assortment of his fine American sparkling wines. Michel and I love these sparkling wines and are thrilled to finally have Lawrence here himself. I am looking at a half bottle of the Blanc de Noirs now fro the Leelanau Penninsula, a Brut, #0190, $16.99 a bottle, 11% alcohol by volume. This would be great to take on vacation and drink outside at night by a bonfire or at the water's edge wherever you might be, feet dug in the sand, on your backs, looking up at the starry night and all the sparkles above as well as those in your glasses and on your palates, too : what more could anyone ever want?!? Someone to enjoy the experience with of course.

The " BUBBLY L. MAMBY, Michigan, U.S.A. " is here, in place, center-stage and already speaking volumes to everyone. Claude Thibaut was here earlier tasting with Michel Dumas and Anthony Quinn ( me ) , and had seen that Lawrence was going to be here and was interested in coming as he, too make s fabulous sparkling wine here in Virginia. Theresa Morrison our South34 Imports owner of South African wines was just here speaking about it, too. She said that it's " really a big deal " to have Lawrence Maby here as she loves his sparkling wines, too and will try and come this Saturday before a local soccer game. That will be nice. Anne returned with her husband and met her relative/friend Andy that was visiting yesterday at the end of the L. MAWBY Winery Michigan sparkling wine-tasting with owner himself Larry , Saturday, August 24th, 2013 from 2-6PM, the day Washington D.C. was all abuzz over celebrating the famous 1963 march on Washington D.C. that became the famous Freedom March with Martin Luther King's famous lines : " I had a dream " speech, the " If I had a Hammer " song sung by Peter , Paul and Mary - and SO MUCH MORE ... and , also met owner and winemaker Gordy Rawson of his own CHATTER CREEK Washington State winery. It was quite " the happenin' ", quite " the experience ", quite " the event " as we found out about and with Larry, Michel, John-Paul, me, Anne, Abi, Gordy, Vince, Andy, the wines of BULGARIANA, KEUKA LAKE VINEYARDS ( the Leon Millot tasty 2010 dry red ), the ANKIRA Vineyards Port-Style 100% Chambourcin red ), and more - celebrated Abi's birthday yesterday. Everyone stayed, everyone tasted, everyone was included, everyone was encouraged to feel a part of this fun and organic event at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits, and no one rushed to get away, and , at the end said their " good byes " and bought their bottles of L. MAWBY, CHATTER CREEK, STONE CREEK Winery Missouri dry red only real indigenous red Norton grape... more to follow, stay-tuned ...
