Resolutions Continuing step-by-step/excited about SUPER BOWL, Then valentine's
day, Then President's Day!

THESE ARE TRYING TIMES and yet we have to always try and see the larger picture
as we move forward and work towards greater growth and better times where
things seem more secure and we all manage stress better as it is definitely a
crippler these days.

DRIVING TO WORK I BEGAN TO ZERO-IN ON BOTH this week and this month with
Valentine's Day just two weeks away and also a really big anniversary for my
wife and me. Wow, this is a lot of wonderful joy and pressure and expectation
all staring down at me and yet I am embracing everything with clear eyes and a
palpable excitement. Amazing as it all has to come together and into focus for
each and everyone of us on both a daily basis as well as a monthly one ( not to
mention yearly, too ).
Yesterday my wife, son and I had a wonderful tour of American University
that started and ended really well. Senior Alex Ward really made us feel
connected and as if both my wife and I would like to return to school once
again to learn everything all over again and perhaps even better! Wow,
exhausting and exhilarating all in one.

I LOVE IT, I love the challenge and the excitement and the rush of
activity now as I look carefully at our calendar that good customer and
black-and-white photographer/ friend Michael Robinson gave us. I need to glean
any important dates and events and be on top of them and so I see that on
Monday, February 14th we have Valentine's Day and on Monday February 21st we
have President's Day.
What's not listed Michael is :
1)  Groundhog Day on Wednesday, February 2nd ;
2)   SUPER BOWL, Sunday, February 5th, 2011
3)  My anniversary on Monday, February 7th, 2011,
4)  Wednesday, February 9th, ( 5:30-830PM ) our " BIG THEME Valentine's
Day " Wine-Tasting here at the store with twenty-five or so wines that may be
enjoyed on Valentine's Day or during the week of Valentine's Day ;
5) Lincoln's Birthday on Saturday, February 12th, 2011
6) President's Day on Monday, February 21st,   and
7) Washington's Birthday on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011.
And here I was just at American University that says that George
Washington wanted this college or university built as one of his first goals
and it looks like it took more than one hundred years to realize his dream.
Everything links somewhere and here I am thinking about this and sharing it
with you as my visit there was so impressionable.

SO MUCH TO PONDER ( Groundhog Day, SUPER BOWL, Valentine's Day,
President's Day )  and yet now it's time to focus and right now I will focus on
the Valentine's Day BIG-THEME Wine-Tasting on February 9th, 2011. I started
working on this two-three weeks ago and am now once again frantically
organizing and making lists of possible people to get here for your pleasure
and hopefully discovery of wine and food possibilities that you may not have
already thought of to enjoy and celebrate Valentine's Day with that someone
special in your lives? There are so many possibilities really and we will all
be on hand to help you plan the 14th of February. We know, you may be in a
special restaurant on that day but there's no reason that Valentine's Day
celebrations can't spread over the course of the whole week!
AS A RESULT I have been listing all the possible vendors and wine owners
ans wine-makers that may be free to come here and taste their selections of
wines with you. I've got calls out and want to make this fun and original and
something really special for you this time : LIKE NEVER BEFORE if you get my
drift. So stay-tuned for much more really soon! I've just organized for
Fransisco Astudillo of Elite Imports to be here as well as Bush Nichols of
William Harrison.

WINE-CLASSES are going quite well on Saturdays: from 11:30-1PM ( six wines
) at a cost of $10 per person. I discussed the wines of South America last week
and this week I will discuss the wines of North America and how they relate to
those still being made in Europe : the new versus the traditional wines. We
will have both reds and whites and I will also go over a number of basics so
that every one can taste the wines and evaluate them properly on their own
levels and arrive at their own conclusions. I want people to get to really know
their own palates and so far it seems to be working really well. Call me at :
202-363-4265 to reserve a seat. I need to hear from you by Thursday evening if
you are really interested to that I may properly plan the class.

WOW! THE STORE IS QUICKLY FILLING UP with " new " and " old " selections
of wines. Everyone seems to be knocking down our doors with deliveries and so
the aisles are filling up quickly and I have to finish this email and then
start quickly to price and put up the wines on our shelves that are looking a
bit empty but will soon be full! The fun thing is that these wines are coming
from around the world like the the " new " Pinot Noir LE CHAPEAU ( the hat )
from Corsica's Vin De Pays De L'Ile De Beaute 2008 , $8.99 a bottle as well as
the VINI Bulgarian 2009 Pinot Noir at $9.99 a bottle. We also have some more
northern Rhone wines, reds and whites that have just come through the door and
that pleases me greatly as we have been low in this category. It's all about
balancing everything these days, having something for everyone in every
category.MORE IS COMING NOW, so much, wines from Siciliy I believe , the MANDRA
ROSSA Pinot Grigio and the MANDRA ROSSA Fiano both from the 2008 vintage. Come
check them out : they will be on a DEEP DISCOUNT : regular price is $11.99 a
bottle. I will open them so that people know what they are buying.

SO TRUST ME there is plenty to look at and to choose from. I don't have
time to list everything here but it will make for some good picking on your
part.

Artois, Hoeg, Leffe, Boddingtons, Aspall English apple cider, Allagash, North
