Marilisa Allegrini & Hugh Hamilton @ Cleveland Park Wines Tues. Early Evening , June 15th, 2010 During Soccer World Cup Matches

I will write about this lovely, serendipitous crossing of our three paths here at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 Tel:202-363-4265  sales@clevelandparkwine.com  www.clevelandparkwine.com ) really soon but I want to post these pictures now as they are " of the moment " : and it's nice to have both the immediacy of it alive and there for all to see and enjoy.

Hugh Hamilton  of HUGH HAMILTON ) makes the great McLaren Valley wines os South Australia like the " Jim Jim " and  " the Mongrel " dry Sangiovese red blend : and Marilisa Allegrini makes the great ALLEGRINI Vineyard wines of Veneto ( Valpolicella ), Italy like the Valpolicella, the Ripassa, the Amarone, the 100% Corvina ( that blew me away at lunch earlier in Bethesdat, Maryland )- and more which also includes delightful everyday Soave and Pinot Grigio.

Stay tuned for more as I will add some about all of the wines as I have some great notes including some comments from Marilisa. Cheers,  TONY

Hugh was popping in to say " hello " before heading off again as he does these world-wind U.S. visits of many stops and many cities. Tough work Hugh.

I have known Hugh for a long time now and we always have some of his wines here in the store. This Saturday Arielle Monaco our Country Vintners rep will be here from 3-7 PM pouring both Hugh's Sangiovese dry red blend and his white Viognier, too. She will also pour some of Barabar Lawson's LAWSON'S Kiwi, New Zealand wines ( Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc).

I have already planned with Jody Jackman our Winebow rep that sells the ALLEGRINI wines from Veneto to do a tasting based on only these excellent wines of Marilisa's the next Friday that she is set to do an in-store/wine-tasting here from 5-8PM.

WE always have lots going on here at Cleveland Park in our nation's capitol with things in the planning stages and some ready to happen any moment, too like Arielle's tasting this Saturday, June 19th, 2010. Join us, never any charge and everyone is welcome.
