June 2010 CHATEAU ANGLES 3 French/ 1 Italian In-Store/Wine-Tasting Saturday/World Cup Soccer Matches/ D.C. Gay Pride Parade

With Mike Dee Of BF Winner @ Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits N.W. Washington D.C....

This was quite the weekend wine-tasting here at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits during the Soccer World Cup competitions ( everyone was over at the Cleveland Park Sports Bar and Restaurant just next door to us on Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C.

Mike Dee of BF Winner was tasting three dry wines from the southwest of France : the dry red, rose and white ( all $20.99 a bottle ) of CHATEAU ANGLES. He also had a dry white Marche or Abruzzo wine made from an indigenous grape variety that he was tasting that was also quite successful.

In these pictures you will notice bottles of our ever-popular MONTELLIANA Extra Dry proseeco from Veneto, Italy ( $11.99 - our " most-popular " actually, look above ) and ANDRE sparkling CA. wine, ABSOLUT imported vodka and LONGVIEW Chardonnay or dry Riesling is it?

There was lots of excitement outside the store as well as inside.

In this casual blog I have chosen to mostly simply show you pictures of our old and new customers as they all looked for the most part so happy and festive and relaxed here inside of Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008, Tel:202-363-4265, sales@clevelandparkwine.com, www.clevelandparkwine.com ).

We sold all the wines that Mike Dee was tasting this Saturday weekend afternoon. We still have some of all of them as the Soccer World Cup is now finished and things are settling back down to a very hot and humid summer here on Sunday, July 25th, 2010 here at my home in northern Virginia as I type this and get ready to post it tomorrow in an attempt to keep up with all out " happenings " at the store. Cheers and enjoy these fun/exciting pictures. TONY

I love all the colors above of these two young ladies. What fun. However, in the pictures to follow of the ladies dressed in white that is probably the best to combat and stave-off all the heat and humidity of the day.

Gaby, yo have got the right idea here in your choice of clothes. I am sure that you feel quite comfortable, don't you?

I love this picture composition of our young lady customer all dressed in white with her stylish denim hat, too.

Please pour us all another glass of this excellent dry French rose( $20.99, 2009 ) from CHATEAU ANGLES Mike. It sure is interesting with it's orange/salmon hues. Everyone has been fascinated by it's color Mike. People talked about it and have asked me questions about it ever since this tasting. I'm out now as of this weekend and will have to order some more from you. Go figure : an orange/salmon colored dry southwest French rose?!? It's a novelty with this color : and the taste is delightful, too. It's a perfect treat for this hot/sticky/oppressive weather that for the most part we are not enjoying now ...
