In this case Antonio was here tasting some of his wines but had to leave to attend I believe a charity event for breast cancer awareness and prevention. His colleague Malcolm was nice enough to step-in for him and resume the tasting.
I love this elegant New York State, Finger Lakes dry red blend from ANTHONY'S ROAD of mostly Cabernet Franc with Lemberger. It sells for twenty dollars or more ( I can't remember exactly now ) and it is medium-to-light bodied and very bright, lively and focused. It will make a great summer/hot weather wine with all this humidity that keeps hanging around now in June, 2009 as I actually get around to posting this blog.
Funny, it was after Antonio left and Malcolm showed up that I finally remembered my camera and that it was time to start taking some pictures.
A lot of our customers spend quite a bit of time in the store checking out our selections and deciding what to buy. We like that. We ask them if they need any help but let them leisurely browse as well on their own.
We also tasted the ANTHONY'S ROAD NY State, Finger Lakes " Tony's White which is an off-dry white blend that we sell for $10.
