It's great to finally have owner Armelle ( et mari Bernard ) Rion of DOMAINE RION ( proprietaires-recoltants a F 21700 Vosne-Romanee Cote-du-Or, France ) here tasting her names in early 2006 with our customers. We have since had her daughter Anne here with the group of other vignerons ( wine owners/makers of Elite Selections ) here on Friday, April 27th, 2008 tasting with our customers. Armelle works tiredly and almost like a machine with extreme precision. She's got a beautiful smile, knows her wines inside-out and we together sold quite a few of her great burgundies on these evening like the 2002 NUITS SAINT GEORGES " Les Lavieres " 2002 ( $59.99 ) which we have the very last few bottles of- and from a great red burgundy year! The 2006 " La Croix Blanche " Pinot Noir, $23.99 Vielle Vigne ( Old Vine ) is still tight and needs more bottle-age before it blossoms.
