Past Week's Wine Personalities : Richard Morehouse, CA., Barbara Rundquist-Muller, Germany, Miriam Caporali & Paolo Librandi, Italy- Photos

Here are just some of the photos from our in-store tastings recently this past week here ( September 15th- 20th, 2008 as well as at dinner yesterday night at Spices down the street. The full reviews and stories will unfold over the week. this is just to get you thirsty and give you a good appetite.

Richard Morehouse came to us from California. His family owns and makes the great wines at PEDRONCELLI ( 1220 Canyon Road Geyserville, CA. 95441-9638, www.pedroncelli.com  707 857-3531 ) and we will have a selection of Richard's wines in October. Barbara Rundquist-Muller comes from Germany's Mosel valley and is the owner of DR. H. THANISCH, Erben Muller-Burggraef, Saarallee 24 54470 Bernakstel-Kues 06531/7570  Fax : 06531/7910 ) and her wines will also be here in larger selections this October. Miriam Caporali ( of TEUTA VALDIPIETTA Via della Ciar;iana 25/A - 53045 Montepulciano -Siena - +39 (0) 578 75790 www.valdipiatta.it ) was here last night ( Friday, Sept. 19th, 2008 ) tasting here wines from Tuscany. Later Paolo Librandi of LIBRANDI ( www.librandi.it ss. 106 c. da San Gennaro, 8811 Ciro Marina ( KR ) te: +39 0962 31518 ) came to meet Miriam and we all went down to Spices restaurant to chill and shoot the breeze. It was sublime after a great 3-hour+ wine-tasting here of Miriam's excellent three Tuscan reds : a Rosso di Montalcino, a Vino Nobile and the decadently-superb 2001 Vino Nobile di Vigna D'Alfiero.
We also had Ruud Maasdam owner/winemaker of STAETE LANDT, Marlborough, New Zealand come pour here this Saturday morning from 11-2 PM in the store. Go to : www.staetelandt.co.nz for more info on these three greta dry whites and one dry Pinot Noir

Reps John Peters ( LVDH Imports ) and David and Patricio Winebow imports ) were also here yesterday in the store.

Here are some photos to hold you over this weekend until I can get to writing more in-depth about these fabulous people and their wines! Cheers,  TONY
