Gary Diamond Local Rep for N. EMPSON Imports Here Yesterday Previewing The " New " CANELLA Mimosa Sicilian-Blood Orange sparkling Treat 9/4/08

It was nice to see Gary Diamond yesterday ( Thursday, September 4th, 2008 ) here in the store. He works for N. EMPSON Imports and wanted to alert us and taste us on the " soon-to-arrive " CANELLA Sicilian ( various types ) Blood-Orange MIMOSA sparkling blood-orange-infused prosecco. We loved it, both Mike and I and will order it as soon as it is available in another two-three week's time. It's so flavorful and yet dry and tasty. Gary was saying that they use several types of blood oranges in it's production It's a variation on a peach Bellini.

The MIMOSA is made from fresh blood oranges, and CANELLA prosecco, all natural, bottled in clear glass so that you may better appreciate it's color: there is minimal separation, 80 calories per serving and a low alcohol of 7%. These are all good things. I just like how it was fun and pleasing and how it rested easily with no worries on my palate. We will be happy to add it to our other CANELLA selections here ( peach and strawberry and normale/regular non-fruit prosecco ). For more technical info go to : CANELLA, prosecco di Conegliano, CASA VINICOLA CANELLA S.P.A. - S.DONA Di P. ( Venezia ), Italy and to : www.empson.com.

Here are some fun photos I took through the wine glass to share with you all. Look at the beautiful color and get ready to enjoy some soon here.  In the pictures is Gary Diamond. It will cost around $17.99 a bottle, maybe less.

     Cheers, Ciao !   TONY

If you think that's good, you should check out St. Clair Winery's Mimosa. It's not made from Blood Orange juice, but rather fresh-squeezed orange juice. Sure it seperates, but why wouldn't it, I believe it to be quite unnatural for the Blood Orange Mimosa not to seperate to some degree since you are mixing liquids of different weights. St. Clair Mimosa. Hands down.
