SUR REAL VODKA , grain Latvian Four Types Tasted Here Again Last Saturday, July 12th, 2008 By Chief Marketing Director Daniel Mahdavian

It's been fun to have Daniel here. He always brings his broad smile and positive outlook on things and lots of equipment to temporarily set-up shop here. He's got one of those roll-out stand-up screens to draw instant attention to the Sur Real vodkas of his, he mixes up all kinds of " additions " to mix with each of the four vodkas and he always welcomes the customers heartily to come and try his new vodkas. What more can we ask? And this is Dan's second or third visit here, too. This last time I tried three of the four. Dan did not give me one because he thought I would find it too sweet. Of the three that I tried the one I really liked and will be happy to recommend is the GINGER PEACH. The other THREE FLAVORS are : VODKA without flavor, RED BERRY CREME and GRAPE. It's all personal preference, just like wine. Either you like it or not, simple as that. I liked the GINGER PEACH.

Here are some of the fun, artsy photos I took of this last tasting of Dan's. Enjoy. For more technical info go to : daniel@survodka.com and www.survodka.com.

We sold quite a bit this last weekend. Each one found a receptive audience. Thanks Dan, come back soon.  All flavors of Sur Real are now ON SALE for $38.99 here at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 202-363-4265. ).

We also did an Italian wine tasting with the selections of Vinifera and I will include that story and those pictures in a following blog really soon. We tasted a white Grillo ALTAVILLA Della Corte  2006, $18.49  and an excellent Barbera d"Alba 2005 " Mara " DANTE RIVETTI. Great wines these two.  Rep Gustavo Fernandes came and poured these two here. It was his first visit. Here are two pictures that I will include now of that. Both tastings occured at the same time from 3-7 PM.

Gustavo and Dan are featured here in one of the pictures each holding an example of their product. Thank you to you both. Cheers, TONY

I too tried the Ginger Peach at one of his tastings and found it amazing. It's very good served chilled as a dessert, complimenting a pear tarte and vanilla ice cream.

Or as a more refreshing drink - try mixing it with lemonade, ice tea and a mint leaf on a hot afternoon.

Two thumbs way up! (the Grape flavor is also very refreshing)

I love the Ginger-Peach. What an incredible flavor. I can taste the subtle ginger hints.
