Markus Huber of Austria Here Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008 Tasting

Markus Huber, owner and wine maker of his HUBER winery in Niederosterreich, Austria was here tasting his " new " white wine releases. We discovered for example his excellent 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, $28.49 that is fully and a touch more flesh and richness to the body to give it more mouth grip/feel. It's a marvelous wine to enjoy by itself most anytime. Markus also tasted his " Von Den Terrassen 2004 Riesling, $26.49 which has a bit of gravitas and real body and dryness with character - best with food. He also tasted people on his " Alte Setzen " Gruner Veltliner, 2004 at $26.49 that has a bit of botrytis and maturity/ripeness that's memorable and will hold it's own with many a meal or flavor component. Markus also makes a drier, more earthy, rustic, chewy( ? ) red Zweigelt, $31.49  2002 that chilled for twenty-thirty minutes would be marvelous even now with all this summer heat and humidity. Here Markus is tasting his new releases with customers. His wines are world-class and we are thrilled to have any of his wines anytime. You can always rely on them to be excellent. This is Markus' second visit to our store.
Markus was here Tusday evening from 5-8 PM on April 22nd, 2008.
